Bridal Shoot at Ravella

The new year has come and January is almost over. I have rested and I am so excited for this wedding season. This is our first year being part of the Bridal Show industry and we are excited to meet amazing local brides. Since we have become part of Bridal Spectacular family. Every year they get together and have models get all dressed up for us in amazing gowns and we get to photograph them. This year we went to Ravella. Which by the way there are so many beautiful hidden spots in this hotel. I cannot express how gorgeous this images turned out. I absolutely love taking the time for me and shooting for me. I will have to say I could have photographed Alex all day. She is one of the girls that are just beautiful inside and out.

Katie Class of 2012 Senior Portraits

I love love love to photograph High School Seniors. They love to have fun, will do anything and are not afraid of the camera. When I had my consultation on the phone with Katie, she very bubbly and I knew she would be fun. When we got to red rock to shoot she told me she has been planning her senior pictures since she was 5 years old. Normally you hear girls dream about their wedding day. If we had this much fun during her senior pictures I cant wait to see what she does for her wedding. Katie is part of the graduating class of 2012. It’s crazy to think I have been out of school for almost 12 years. Wow times flies and I am old!:)

The whole time I was shooting the only thing I could think was this could have totally been a shoot for Teen Vogue Magazine. Yes Katie you are that gorgeous and your personality shines just as bright. Wish you the best for your senior year.

I had to put this last picture in. Behind all of that beauty, this one truly caught Katie’s fun and full of life personality.

Jacoby + Renee are enaged

Renee and Jacoby have been on my blog before so you may recognize them. This beautiful couple volunteered last year for a style shoot Doug and I were part of for a few local Las Vegas Wedding Vendors. That was the first time we met these two and fell in love with them. They are getting married in Hawaii next month but before that we had to think outside the box for an engagement session that will do justice for the amazing wedding they have planned.

I have had the honor of personally hearing their “How we met story.” In the case of these two there are two different versions. Here’s my unbiased version. Renee went to Santa Barbara to visit a friend who was in college there and they ended up going to a party. Jacoby was a college basketball player there and pretty hot stuff on campus. Renee and her friend needed to use the restroom so they were waiting in line and had some handsome man pass everyone in the line. Claiming it was his house so he wasn’t waiting in line. (No it wasn’t his house.) Being the gentleman Jacoby is he decided to let these two beautiful women join him in the restroom to speed things up. Their is some confusion on whether or not Jacoby was kind enough to be “The Toilet Paper Man” and hold toilet paper on his fingers but either way it is pretty funny. For his kindness this life saver was rewarded with a kiss on the cheek or lips, but either way it was a kiss. Jacoby’s current girlfriend didn’t appreciate that of course. They didn’t exchange digits or see each other again that night. Sometime later Jacoby was able to find out who Renee was and get her number because another basketball player knew her friend. They started talking and Renee decided to give him a call when she came to visit her friend again. The rest is history.

Doug arranged for us to have the opportunity to shoot inside Rumor Boutique Hotel in Las Vegas. This hidden jewel right off the strip has a lot to offer. After Rumor we tried to get some shots outside but the weather was horrible so we went and played around in the Library. We didn’t get kicked out so I guess we were being quiet enough. I love their personalities and couldn’t be happier for them.

The whole time we were in the library it felt like we were on the MTV show silent library. My face hurt so bad from laughing.

Thomas+ Marley are engaged

There is nothing that I love more than when a couple gets all dressed up and plays the part. Marley had me excited from her first inquiry explaining what she had in mind. I loved the whole outfit but those who know me the best know how much I was digging the heels! Thomas is leaving to Iraq or should I say already deployed. They wanted to have one more lets be together moment which I love. I have already shot so many couples that have the other half leaving for a period of time. And I am so grateful for all the men and women that serve our country. They all have a soft spot in my heart.

This is my second favorite of the session.

Sierra’s Las Vegas High School Senior Pictures

Meet a Las Vegas Wildcat Cheerleader! Sierra’s mom has been talking about getting senior pictures done since the end of her Sophomore year. The time has flown by and Sierra is finally a Senior. I cant believe it is already 2010 (that makes me feel old). It was awesome to finally get to work with Sierra. I love working with seniors b.c they are full of life and always want something fun. Sierra was a little shy and quite at first but by the end of the shoot she was up for anything, even a little dance. (Dont worry Sierra you totally rocked your dance.) Alright so I will stop talking and introduce the fabulous Sierra.

Style Shoot for Las Vegas Wedding Vendors

I have been so exited to show everyone these images. This has been a very long process and it was great to see it all come together. When I met the girls at Plush Wedding and Events to talk about putting this shoot together I was exited. We decided on going to a vineyard. Of course we had to look around and finally came across a Winery in Pahrump. I have so many clients that are looking for a winery to shoot at but no one wants to drive to California. Maybe I do but I just love Cali.

The winery is a hidden treasure about an hour away from Las Vegas. It is a beautiful and intimate venue. Well worth the drive and I look forward to shooting there again.

We started out at our models house for hair and make up. Then we headed to Pahrump where the set up began. While Plush Weddings and Events was setting up I took the models out for an intimate photo session on the Winery grounds.The best part is Renee and Jocoby are really engaged and I kept teasing them and telling them we can just have someone come out there to marry them. Their is nothing like a mock shoot to get ready for the real wedding. Afterwords we went into the wine cellar to show off the beautiful detail. A special thank you to the Pahrump Valley Winery and letting us turn that place upside down to do the shoot. They are truly the kindest people.

Adam+ Marssia

Meet Adam and Marssia. They are another couple from the shoots we put together while Stacey was here in town. It is always a great when two people completely mesh together and just have fun. Congrats on the engagement I know you are going to be absolutely stunning on your wedding day.

Since Adam is a firefighter we had to shoot one with the hose around the neck.

David + Paris + Hudson = Amazing Pictures

I have been so excited to share these images with everyone. Paris is a amazing graphic designer and I mean AMAZING. I was so blown away when we got together the day of the shoot. She made her hat, skirt, magazine cover, and if she would of had time she probably would have made her shoes.

I had the privileged of photographing her for maternity pictures. Now little Hudson is here and is 6 months old. I can’t believe how time fly’s. We had a great time shooting at the Boulder City Train Station Museum.

Paris let me just say you have a amazing family and your talents exceeded all my expectations.

Ara my doll – Fun Photographer Las Vegas

So some of you may know Ara. She is my cousin and when ever I feel like going out and shooting I call her. There is nothing like having my very own real life barbie I can dress up and tell what to do. Ara thanks for putting up with me and teasing your hair like crazy. I wanted to head down town to get some some fun shots but it is always better to bring a guy with me. Damon was that guy and was our body guard. Thanks Damon for protecting us from all the bad guys. I talked Damon into taking a couple shots with Ara which turned out great. It’s always fun to do a shoot just for me.

This is the Ara I know and love, so full of life.

Meet Mckenna she is an aspiring actress. I knew Mckenna when she was a little girl. She has grown into a beautiful young women. Sometimes it amazes me how fast time goes by.
