Fi + Will = Married at 2810

The day finally came and I got to see one of my favorite couples again. This year I had a handful of couples that really didn’t have a time line for the day and wanted to just relax and enjoy the day. Fi and Will were one of those couples. On a side note as the photographer we tend to always worry about time and making sure we never run late for anything. That was not the case at all on this day. They rented out a cool residential place called 2810. The house is huge with amazing backyard and pool area.

When I showed up Fi was as calm as can be. Will was the running around. I think it was a great idea that Will took Fi’s phone so she didn’t have to worry about anything. After photographing their engagement session I knew the wedding day was going to be AMAZING. If you missed out on the engagement session you can see it here.

Fi words can not express how beautiful you looked. I loved every minute of your day. Thanks for letting Doug and I be part of it.

I have to tell the story behind the first look. One I have always loved first looks b.c its a moment before all the craziness starts. It is the moment that just the two of you are able to slow down the day just for a minute and embrace each other and get any nerves you have out. Plus the emotion cant get more real. This is the time I am quite and just photograph your emotion you show towards each other. So everything was going beautiful and then Fi plants a big one on Will. While her lipstick wasn’t dry all the way and leaves a good amount of red on Will. Which is not a big deal unless it is the stain on lipsticks. After a little hard scrubbing we were able to get the red off Will. I just love how it all played out.

Dick + Nicole are engaged

For some reason when I shoot in one location I always shoot that same location over and over. So I ended up shooting at the dry lake 3 times in one week. With the crazy winds Vegas always has out there it is totally just about the couple. Dick and Nicole’s love is still fresh and new. I think we can all see it in all the pictures. Although Nicole’s hair was blowing everywhere it did not stop her from just letting loose and letting me capture the real beauty we call love.

Who said you couldn’t look good having fun. You guys totally Rocked the running pictures. This one is my favorite by far. My reasoning is because Nicole was all about putting the hair up and focusing on just them.

Fernando + Luz are engaged

Fernando and Luz came from New York and wanted some desert shots. Around Vegas we can definitely handle that. When Luz and I first talked on the phone we discussed what to wear for the session. She told me they were going to do one casual and one dressy outfit. Which I always recommend so you can have two different looks. So when we got to the dry lake bed she pulls out this cute red dress. Which I loved. We a such a great time out there. I totally love when there is nothing else around and you can just focus on your couple. Their second outfit change blew me away. Wait till you see it.

Luz you looked amazing and I can’t wait to see what you wear on your wedding day!

I love this image. By far the emotion is what sums up the whole day.

Congratulations and can’t wait to see you next year.

Nhat + Carmela are engaged

If you are like me today you are sitting in front of your computer and looking at the Black Friday Sales. I thought you might also love to see some fun engagement pictures! These two met by luck. Carmela was going to a military ball with another guy and Nhat was the driver. To make a long story short she ended up with Nhat and not the other guy. For their engagements went to Lake Las Vegas which by the way is always a great place if you aren’t sure where you want to go for a shoot. There is everything from the lake, to grass and cobble stone streets. You guys were so much fun to hang out with.

Colbie + Alicia are on their honeymoon

After getting married in Winnipeg, CA Colbie and Alicia came to Vegas for their honeymoon. I was lucky enough to be asked to do a fun, classy shoot with them. I just couldn’t get enough of these two. There is nothing like new love! Hope you two enjoyed your stay here in Vegas.

Brett + Erin are in egaged

These fun crazy love birds met in Vegas by a pool while Brett’s friends were here for a birthday party and Erin was here for a bachelorette party. They started talking and one thing lead to another. Now they are in love and getting married. I can’t wait for their wedding next year. It will be exciting for them to come back and get married here in Vegas where it all started. We’ll see if we can create another love connection when all your friends are here. See you two next year!

Keith + Rowena are married

Hey all, here is the follow up to Keith and Rowena’s engagements. I can’t think of a better way to follow up such fun engagement pictures with than showing off their amazing wedding photographs. I know I say it over and over but I love when I get to take engagements before the wedding it just makes everything so much better on the wedding day. If you missed their engagements check them out here. They said their I Do’s at the Mandalay Bay and we had a blast taking photos in there. Then we went to Mix Restaurant for some photos before their meal there. You will notice once we got the bridal party together for photos we had a blast. Rowena was absolutely gorgeous and the dress needs just one adjective STUNNING! Enjoy your wedding sneak peek you two and I can’t wait to show you the rest!

Graham + Jaime are married

As she looked in the mirror and smiled you could see the joy of what the day was about to bring. She put on her dress, looked up and asked if it was time. Right before she left to marry the man of her dreams she opened a letter from him saying I love you. She picked up her flowers and headed to the door…..

Relaxed and calm he shrugged off joke after joke from the guys about getting married. As his father helped him get ready for the best day of his life he knew without a shadow of a doubt, he was the luckiest man in the world. No one could ever convince him otherwise.

They met outside right before to whisper I love you. Then departed one last time. The next time they saw each other was when she was walking down the aisle with her father. The expression of happiness he had on his face was breath taking. They came together hand and hand as they said their I do’s. They jumped into the limo to head to their party to celebrate with their friends and family as husband and wife. The rest of the night was danced away.

These are just a few of the moments Doug and I were able to watch as we photographed Jaime and Graham’s wedding. I will have to say it was a beautiful wedding and all the details that Divine Events put into it… WOW. I had a great time working with so many great vendors in the community.

Keith + Rowena = Engaged

Meet Kieth and Rowena they came to Vegas from Calgary Canada. We had a chance to get together a couple days before the wedding for a little fun in the hot sun. I don’t think couples realizes how hot it is in Vegas during the summer. For it to be early September and still over in the 100 degrees was quiet unusual (almost 38C). We did have some wind that came in while we were at the dry lake beds so it wasn’t to bad. Don’t let these two fool you, when we first met they where little shy and quite. But after just a little while they were more the comfortable with the camera and having a blast. I am always happy when I get to do a engagement session with my couples before their wedding. That way on the wedding day they are more then comfortable with me and I know how they act in front of camera. Here a just a handful of shots from the engagement session. Can’t wait to share their wedding soon.

Johnny + Jen = Married, Winnipeg Canada

We met Johnny and Jen Nov 2010 when we did engagement photos. I loved their personalities and when they returned home Jen asked if we would come to Winnipeg for their wedding. I was all for it. After we booked this wedding the number one thing we heard over and over again was, ‘There is nothing to shoot in Winnpeg.’ The answer I came up with was you don’t know me very well then. All I need is a awesome couple, old buildings and a fun bridal party. So now is the time to show everyone what we did and how we Rocked It in Winnipeg! I love getting away from Vegas because there is never enough green for me here. We started the day getting ready at sepearte houses and then heading over to the church for the ceremony. I was very excited to see this old church I love the character it has. After the beautiful ceremony we headed downtown for some amazing shots with the bridal party. Then it was on to the reception to dance the night away. Johnny and Jen you guys have a great group of friends and you can tell how close all of you are. Thanks for letting Doug and I be apart of your amazing day and getting to see the true beauty of Winnipeg, which I love. I am kinda sad that I didn’t get to photograph more of the places there but I am sure I will return.

Of course we cant forget all the Vendors that make the wedding day.

This little flower girl was so cute. This picture is one of my absolute favorites I have ever taken of a father and daughter. I could have just shot this one picture and I would have been happy.
